About us

Yardzen is the leading online landscape design service. We help homeowners get beautiful and functional outdoor spaces, starting with the kind of photorealistic 3D design that was previously only available for high-end commercial landscape architecture projects. By rethinking the outdoor renovation process from start to finish, we’re delivering a new experience to homeowners and contractors alike—one that’s more efficient, transparent, and affords great design to many. And we’re off to a great start: in 2019 more than 3% of all landscape designs in the U.S. were created on the Yardzen platform.

Yardzen's founded in Marin County, CA

After their property suffered damage in the 2017 Tubbs Fire in Napa Valley, CA, Allison and Adam experienced the landscape design process for the first time and were struck by the opportunity to make it more efficient, visual and accessible.

Just months after opening its virtual doors, Yardzen gets a glowing review in one of the oldest and most credible newspapers in the world. Game on!

The Botanical Plan is introduced

To meet the demand of customers, Yardzen introduces a design package that includes plants only, hand selected and laid out by a horticulturalist.
January 2019
500 designs milestone

Yardzen celebrates delivering 500 designs.
March 2019
Yardzen goes to Texas

To serve the great state of Texas, Yardzen staffs up on Texas-focused landscape designers and horticulturalists and begins designing across the state.
